The Big 3 roundup was amazing! Thanks to everyone that showed. Our final turn out blew my expectations and proved that this group is growing at a geometric rate, like a viral outbreak or swine flu, but a whole lot more fun. So what's next? I have a few ideas for our next cruise, but first I'd like to see what you ideas are. That way if i dont get a response, I'll just go ahead and organize our next event.

Great job on the website Brett! All vintage, classic, muscle, restored, street rodded and/or foreign cars are fun--IF THEY ARE WRENCHED ON AND DRIVEN!!!!!!

Who's leaving business cards on my windshield? Usually it pisses me off, but for this....thanks. I like your club idea. I'll try to make it out for a cruise one day. Looks like fun. When is the next meet?

Good Morning All. Brett & Jesse, I finally have a few minutes to check out your web site. It's awesome! Great job. Thanks so much for the kind words. I got Old Blu back from Bluffton Autobody Friday afternoon & after a quick wax she was ready for her debut at the AACA show on Saturday. I was lucky enough to pick-up a top 40 trophy! She runs just as good as she looks & I think she sounds amazing! I can't wait for your next event! If the weather is good this Thursday (Sept. 10th) I'm planning on taking her to work so that I can go directly to the Dreamers meeting at Golden Corral that night. So, if your out & about Thurday & the weather is good, stop by & take a look. Thanks again! Mark & Jennifer.

Hey Brett, Jesse and crew;
We sure have been havin' fun! Some night we should consider driving to Beaufort and go to the Highway 21 Drive-In Movie Theater. Most of you'se guys and gals are not old enough to have ever experenced a drive-in. Sneaking in in the trunk or "suckin face" in the back seat!!! I believe only 2 remain in SC. Beaufort and Greenwood (recently reopened). I bet other clubs and some of the "Lone Wolves" from other towns would like to join us for a night at the drive-in. See everyone at the Z-28 Elimin8or tonight!!!

A cruise to the drags? You talkin about the 1/8th mile down in Ga? That would be a fun time and a perfectly LEGAL way to stretch the ol' accelerator foot. I'm down, but I dont drag so hit me up with some more info and we'll get it goin '!

The Z28 run was awesome. We loved the drive!
One complaint, though. Did anyone else notice the clueless old man in The Volvo who just didn't get what was going on? He did 1/3 of the run, and wouldn't leave the line. He even stopped on the cross island when we did!
It's on the video. He's right behind my '06 GTO.
With all the mechanics in the club, can't we invent a big spatula or something to "flip" guys like that out of the way? Just an idea...........

The Drags in Savannah would be "bitchin"! "STROKER NOVA" Scott and I have been a few times. It is alot of fun. Most nights you never know what cars will be running and other nights they organize some pretty big money shoot outs. It is fun to watch.

OH YEAH! (To quote Paul Harvey,"page two".) I forgot to mention. A little bit of history for any NASCAR fans. Right near the end of the drag strip, if it hasn't been developed, is the remains of one of the original NASCAR dirt tracks. Over grown but still visible.

great site, great cars, but anyways i was wondering if any of you guys have heard of HWY 129 at Deals Gap in NC or the Cherhola Skyline in NC it would be a great time to take off a weekend and head up there theres ... 11miles 317turns on Deals Gap.. and the Cherhola skyway is up a mountain and back down good 50 miles or so... it would be a haul to get up there tho but it is on my bucket list

Great to see all the cars for Chuck's Z-28 run, but it's getting to be too much for so many muscled cars to make that long of a cruise in an organized and safe manner. Despite Brett's request for people to take it easy, I had at least one car running at excessive speed, cutting in and out in front and behind me, not letting other cards in, etc. Doesn't make for a good impression for other drivers not in the SCMCS line-up. Not safe to stop cars at certain places just for photo/video ops. Maybe meet up, tell people where to end up and when, and let them take their own cruise. Just afraid there's gonna be an accident one day soon if we keep on the way we've been going. Safety always comes before cool in my book...

Hey Laurie, good point. The driver in question was new to the organization and will be dealt with accordingly. As far as the photo ops, the new deal will be that the camera car will run with hazard lights to alert fellow drivers. The cruisers will stick to their lane and NOT pass during the cruise. Yes we are getting big and safety is our first concern, but I will not let one bad apple ruin our awesome pics and vid. As far as pulling over, the compression of the group was good to get everyone back in formation so that nobody would speed to get in line. THIS WILL MOST DEFINATELY BE ADDRESSED AS THERE WILL BE NO ACCIDENTS/HOTDOGGIN' ON MY WATCH. Thanks.

That vid was awesome. I laughed out loud when that Volvo kicked into slow mo for the caption.......
Hey the aforementioned scofflaw wasn't me, was it?
I shut my traction control on a U-Turn.....and unleashed the FIE-YAH!!.
But I swear, I never went over 50......

For the record, I did not almost kill a biker, as has been rumored. I was backing slowly into a spot between two of our finer vehicles, when a biker, at his own peril, cut behind me while I was already in motion..... Luckily this violation of motorcycle 101 didn't result in an untimely death, and the run was able to proceed fruitfully.....If you're gonna cut in behind a moving car, make it a mini-cooper, not a beast with 400 horsepower of FIE-YAH!......Just some advise from uncle Steve.

Attention anyone interested in entering a car show in Savannah. There will be a car show held at Auto Perfection on Hwy. 80. This show is being put on to help Relay for Life. The show will be both muscle, and some rice burners, should be a large turn out... Registration is $20 and will start at 11, there will be judging and awards. This is all I know of the show, but if your looking for something to do this Saturday the 14th, come on by and show your support and show how bad a** SCMCS is!
